Design Doctor

A free examination for any logo or design you plan to turn into a physical product. It checks your artwork in your browser instantly, asks how you intend to produce it — method, finished size, fabric, placement — then runs a deeper AI examination trained on real embroidery production. You get a separate readiness score for embroidery, patches, vector and print, a plain-English diagnosis, and a simulation of your design in each method.

Every score uses one scale: 90+ is Production Ready, 75–89 Looking Good, 50–74 Needs Attention, below 50 Treatment Recommended. Each production method is scored separately, because they are genuinely different questions — a photograph prints beautifully and embroiders badly, so it scores high for print and low for thread. Scores are computed deterministically from measured properties of your artwork judged at your finished size, fabric and placement, so the same design and the same answers always give the same score.

It predicts well — small text below 4 mm, gradients and photographic artwork are the classic problems, and the Doctor catches them. But thread on fabric is physical: the definitive check is a real stitched sew-out, which DigitEMB offers on any design. The Doctor tells you what to expect; the sew-out proves it.

The instant check runs entirely in your browser. If you continue to the full examination, your file is stored privately for the analysis and your previews — it is never public, and never appears anywhere unless you explicitly press Share. Signed-in customers can save designs to their own design library.

It is free. The instant check is unlimited; the deeper AI examination has a fair-use daily limit for guests (signed-in DigitEMB customers get more). If you decide to produce the design, digitizing, vector art, patches and sew-outs are quoted separately as normal.
