Four words, and nothing else. IN GOD WE TRUST, embroidered in white serif lettering on black twill with a clean white border. There is no imagery and no ornament, because the phrase does not need any. The format matters. At 3.75 by 1 inch this is a name-tape shape - long, low and narrow. It runs along the front panel of a cap, the placket of a vest, the chest strip of a jacket or the handle of a bag, in exactly the places a square patch will not sit properly. The lettering is satin stitch on woven twill, with a stitched border. Nothing here is printed, so nothing here can crack. The heat-activated backing bonds to cotton, denim and canvas with a full five minutes of firm, steady heat. On a vest or a working cap, put a needle through the border.
